Duathlon – 11th December 2011

I took part in one of our club duathlons on Sunday just gone and it was amazing to be back with the crowd of likeminded ‘mad’ people swimming in the Westfield Pool and then running round the local Rother Valley park in nothing but lycra. It was cold and it was raining and everybody else in the park was all snuggled up warm in their winter coats looking at us in amazement or confusion as we ran past them. I took part for the competitiveness and for a bit of a bench mark for future sessions as I want to see myself do better on this course as the season pans out. My experience was brilliant; I got a real buzz from it all and so appreciate the volunteers from Sheffield Tri club who help out with these events.
