Ducks or fighter jets?

When you’re getting ready for a launch, like a book or workshop or new project, what do you call it? “Getting your ducks in a row” or “Getting your fighter jets ready for take-off”?

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been preparing for a new launch for my business, and when I’ve said out loud “I’m just getting all my ducks in a row” it didn’t seem to have the right emphasis or magnitude of what I’m preparing to do. There have been barriers and complications as well as communication and finance issues. By overcoming these issues and being dedicated to the end goal I have worked hard with my Golden Gang to get everything ready and achieve my goal:

New brand analysis and awareness
New logo
New Speaker showreel.
New workshop showreel.
New One page
Updated website

With all these tools and aspects of my business being upgraded to a higher level, calling them ‘little ducks’ didn’t fit the vision that I had! These are my fighter jets that will be taking off over the next couple weeks, to launch my speaking business up to a premium level.

What about you, how do you label what you’re doing so that you get the best results? Do you think it matters? To me words are powerful things.

“Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble.” -Yehuda Berg
