This year is going well and I really feel that I have got my goals back in my head giving me something to work towards and something to get up and out of bed and out in this cold weather. I did a club duathlon last weekend which I always see as bench mark and part of training which means doing them on a Sunday concludes a busy six day training week so times can vary…although I would never use this as an excuse. My swim time was amazing and 16 seconds faster than ever over 400m which proves that my training on technique rather than speed is paying off (patience, patience) My run was good but not my fastest and I was looking forward to the finish line. I may need to work on my pacing. Finally heard from Planet X who have decided that they will not sponsor me which I am very disappointed about seeing as I have done a bit of promotion for them with photos in magazines etc.
Running is going well at the moment although it is feeling a bit heavy footed so I need to put a spring in my step…track training has started again and it is tough tough tough.
Cycling is OK but need to get an action plan set for the year.
Recently I have been asked to do a presentation and inspirational talk to hospital staff in Sheffield. I’m honoured and will give more details when I have them.
